Overall a positive experience. The hospital is well equipped with infrastructure and manpower to cater to an expecting/new mother's and baby's needs. The food is great and the staff is mostly very nice and helpful. My only issue will be with a few of the nursery sisters, who do not behave well with patients or their family.

Currently (April 2023), there is a dearth of rooms as they are renovating the place so one should consider that before booking. We had indicated a preference for suite or super deluxe, but I had to ultimately stay in a 3-bed ward. I must add that my bed was THE BEST among 3-bed wards because it was towards the front of the building, and the space is almost 1.5 times that of the other two beds in the room with my own huge window (check the photos). It almost felt like a personal room. The number is Bed 307C. If anyone is booking or has to book a 3 bed ward, I would highly recommend getting this bed. Despite the ongoing works, service has been hassle free.

I appreciate their behaviour and the perfection of time they give all the medicines or food to the patient. The things that we didn't like there were:
1. The food served was in a small amount.
2. The food quality there was not good.
3. They should represent their budget properly as the budget given by them during my operation was very high due to which the insurance company denied to pay. After that they lowered their budget and the insurance company paid for it.
I would like it if they take these points into consideration.

#MEDICALMALPRACTICE
#CSECTION #UNNECCESARYCSECTION #MEDICALMAFIA
Dr. Indranil Chowdhuri and Dr. Amrita Chowdhuri (owner of Akanksha Clinic, Keyatala lane, but operating in Bhagirathi Neotia ) both had forced a unnecessary as well as unwanted caesarean surgery on me last March.
How well they are as surgeons can be easily deduced from the fact that the surgery had led me to typhoid within 15 days (Dr. Indranil tried to blame the food and water intake but it happened to only me from the entire family) and incisional Hernia within 8/9 months and I will need to undergo another surgery.

Added, their zero ethics towards this profession arises doubts like : is being a doctor only about making money as quick as possible , compromising the health of the patients?

Dr. Indranil Chowdhuri had always discussed with me about the normal delivery I am going to have as I don’t have any complications. No abnormal bp or blood sugar or any other fitness related problems.
His fine acting skill convinced me so well that despite being a DataScientist , I overlooked the data collected against him ( which says that he never performed a normal delivery) but trusted him when he assured me of a genuine attempt of Normal Delivery.
I asked him in many of our meetings if I need to do any breathing exercises or yoga to prepare my body for the normal delivery, on which he ridiculed me stating that I am doing too much of google these days and all those are not necessary.
With all these they induced labour on me at my 38 weeks of gestation ( no genuine reason for such early induction) which eventually failed and they started one after another threatening discussion session stating I would lose my baby if I do not allow them to cut me off ( get done with this transaction within 20 mins of time ) and get the baby out.
They definitely are not in this profession to do things for free, but earning money without any morale / transparency/ ethics in medical profession is no less than terrorism.
Their strategy is based upon :
1. Caesarean done in 20 mins u003d charge 60k inr ,, Normal Vaginal Delivery upto 24 hours u003d charge 60k inr
2. Therefore caesarean at any point of time achieves multi folded profit as compared to Normal Delivery per 24 hours.
3. False assurance of Normal Delivery to retain patients. After hospitalisation, threatening is done to get the job done as patients are already fully trapped and no one can stand the story of losing their baby.

Dr. Indranil and Amrita are also blessed with a daughter and yet don’t have any responsibility ( forget integrity, moral, values) towards other’s daughters while destroying their health lifetime on the name of child birth.
As the Govt is silent on these massively happening malpractices, I would pray to God for the justice to the new mothers and the children who are suffering from the same.
I wish I had some review like this as an eye opener before falling prey to them and I sincerely hope this will help set the correct expectations against Akanksha and the team there.
Edit:
1. Indranil and Amrita both has got a team who support them in this program of malpractice. In my case, a Chinese lady, the anaesthetist, done the epidural for me, popped up suddenly and started preaching why I couldn’t give birth normally and she could. As if I was the only csection case here.
2. Indranil Chowdhuri also told me stories about how his wife Amrita gave birth via csection and is all fit and fine ( running, bending etc.) and how csection should be made a standard practice as it’s just not a big deal. However, this is not at all the truth and is only part of his money grubbing strategy.
