Alipore Zoological park is an ideal destination for children due to its diverse collection of animals and birds. The park boasts of an impressive array of birds, which are a real treat for bird lovers. However, the tigers at the park seem to be elusive, as they seldom come out of their caves. The hippo and rhino also prefer to stay in the water, making it challenging to spot them. On the other hand, visitors can get a glimpse of the bear and the Kong, which are a delight to watch.

Despite the lack of visibility of certain animals, the natural surroundings of the park are breathtakingly beautiful. The greenery and serene environment make it an ideal place to spend some quality time with family and friends. The zoo authorities have done an excellent job of creating a natural habitat for the animals, which is very impressive.

However, the park's bathrooms are in poor condition and require immediate attention. It is essential to ensure that the basic amenities are well-maintained to provide visitors with a comfortable experience.

The aquarium on the opposite side of the read to the alipore zoo is no match for the actual zoo itself. The it you are already visiting the amazing alipore zoo it m8ght not hurt to cross the road and spend 20 rupees to visit this tiny public aquarium as well; however, note that you probably won't find any exotic species or stunning displays. Most of it is average fishtanks filled with common aquarium fish. There are a few larger fish like gars and arowanas but it is definitely a skippavle place if there is a lack if time or interest.

It's a lesser known place just opposite the zoo but it is worth a visit. They have many cute fishes and turtles here.
