An old famous place for fried items especially kabiraji. I loved their chicken kabiraji but the fish kabiraji was totally loss. Fish fry was okayish.

Located in the Sikdar Bagan Lane area of Hatibagan, this is truly a hidden gem for a foodie.
With crisp fish fries & chops along with fish kabhiraji as well as crisp Bengali samosas, there's a lot of choice.
Food is mildly spiced & parking is a bit of a problem in this area.

A very popular destination for 'telebhaja' in the north Kolkata Hatibagan region. It is situated on the Sikdarbagan Lane at Hatibagan which is very popular for its famous Durga Puja. This is small food stall and is having no provision for sitting. One has to carry the food and enjoy while standing in front the shop or pack it for home. The stall has two sections; one serving 'kachuri' with 'alur torkari', samosa and Jalebi and the other serving different non veg items like fish kabiraji, mutton chop, mutton breast cutlet, chicken kabiraji etc. I have tasted mutton chop which is not very good but Crispi jalebi and kachuri were quite delicious. But this is extremely famous for its fish kabiraji which is an extremely oily food but famous in North Kolkata. They can work little bit on cleanliness. Otherwise one can pay a visit to this historic food stall at least once.
