Excellent training & an inspring instructor who sets an example at every step of the way!!! Training imparted is practical and hands on with a lot of emphasis on fitness and basics. Individual atrention to each & every student.

So I have been practicing here for the past 5 years now.

Would like to share my experience once all over again

1. The Instructor/Sensei - Sumit Kumar Maity is a genuine person. Leaving aside the training (for now) the man is honest, humble and 100% transparent. Not money minded and really works on the inprovement of his students from the core of his heart.

2. The Training - Training imparted is impeccable. Sensei Sumit has decades of experience in not only Karate but also Mixed Martial Arts, Kick Boxing and Weaponry (Stick, knife and the likes). His method of instruction is also unique and easily absorbable.

Sensei Maity himself is a remarkably fit and agile person who leads by example.

3. The Dojo (Karate Gym) - The Dojo is one of a kind and I reckon the best in all of Howrah City and can easily fit into the best of the best category in Kolkata.
Fully Air Conditioned, Practice Mats for safety, Calisthenics setup as in hanging rods and rings, Heavy bags, impact pads, Makiwara (Traditional Japanese Wooden planks for focus and strength building) and what not.

4. Certificates and recognitions - Authentic and having direct lineage to JKA world HQ , Japan.

This is the best place where you can learn Shotokan Karate. The most dedicated teacher with an amazing team. You'll learn a lot. It's not just a sports karate club, it'll prepare you for the uncertain real life fights as well. Where you'll be capable enough to defend yourself.
