This is Banquet hall. The location is good near santragachi....The Banquet hall can hired for any kind of occasions such as wedding, birthday, rice ceremony, anniversary etc...They have 3 floors in total in the building.... The building is fully air conditioned. But, this hall has a craze for booking.... If you have planned anything for you occasion, you have to book the hall atleast 1 year - 6 months before...Then only you can get it confirmed booking.

This place has derived its name from the neighboring pond. Water which is locally called "Jal" and "Mahal" is the local name of Palace. This is actually the palace in front of water. The name is also very apt as the lake beside plays a huge role in the overall ambiance of the community hall. This place actually serves for the purpose of a community hall that can be booked for marriages, birthday parties, or any other social gatherings. The major advantage is its location which itself has become a landmark for the surrounding areas. however the parking place is inadequate and the managing body should take care about it. On the inside it is well spaced out and airy. The dining place is also good and spacious. Separate space is there for "Nahabat" the traditional instruments that are played live during typical Indian and Bengali weeding, with he backdrop of the pond beside that also can be well decorated and lit up, on the auspicious nights.

Nice place, ground floor air-conditioning is okay but the dine-in area is not air-conditioning properly. Also not so spacious. According to the mid budget community hall this one is ok..
