The temple is mainly built of earthen bricks on a laterite block platform. The terracotta walls of this temple are very beautiful and covered with carvings, statues, and reliefs depicting mythological stories of Ramayana and Krishna Leela. Around the innermost sanctuary where the idol is kept, there are covered porches on three sides. Except for the rear wall, on each of these three porches have three arched openings and the main entrance being on the west.

This is a beautiful and well maintained terracotta temple with a single dome. Madan Mohan Temple was built in 1694. He is in excellent condition. This is one of the nice exhibits in Bishnupur. This temple was built by Malla King Durjana Singha Dev for their family deity Radha & Krishna. It is one of the more renowned temples of Bishnupur.

Incredible beauty!
These teracotta temples in Bishnupur are really very very beautiful. This place is in Shankhari area. The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna. A king from Malla Dynasty, Durjan Singh Deva, constructed this temple.

The teracotta designs on this temple are beautiful. This temple is also well maintained and clean. A dedicated person is there in every temple of Bishnupur to clean the premises. In this temple idol is also present and one pujari is also dedicated for this temple. If you wamt to worship the idol of this temple you can also do that. Arrangement of "Bhog" also available here. If you have time you can wait and have bhog also.

This place will be in your list if you come for Bishnupur trip. You can avail auto/toto for the entire day.. Rate will vary during off-season and seasonal time. The usual rate is Rs400 and they will cover all the famous temples of Bishnupur.
