Jor Bangla Temple is a testimony to the incredible sculptural & architectural talents that thrived during ancient times in Bengal. I was spellbound & fascinated to witness the superior quality of craftsmanship, both inside & outside the temple. This temple dates back to 1655, when it was constructed by the popular Malla King, Raghunath Singha. I saw that the temple is built in the shape of a pair of hut-shaped structure and it's joined with one another. When you step inside this temple you can see that the walls and ceilings depict exquisite & immaculate terracotta art. Although Bishnupur is blessed with a plethora of terracotta temples, but the Jor Bangla is considered highly reputed, for it's unique style of architecture and the message it portrays about social life, Krishnalila and epics, through some extraordinary hand-made wall sculptures. Highly recommended. ????????
