Although Bishnupur is a popular tourist spot for day trip as well as weekend gateway, yet very few visit the ruins of its fort. The Fort is situated just behind the Mrinmoyee Temple and you have to take a not so friendly trail to reach the ruins. There is nothing left of the fort but one of the walls and the four sentry posts still exists.
Built in 1643 by Malla King Raghunath Singh. The temple has triple arched gateway on its four sides and has innumerable terracotta artwork on both exterior and interior walls as well as on the four of five towers.

A historical place in Bishnupur. Good place to visit & enjoy with family. One of the best architecture in Bishnupur. But now it requires special permission to enter here. This monument is about to ruin due to lack of care.
