Since we were in Ballavpur area, after lunch, we quickly visited the new White Buddha Statue.Nice place with a 34 Feet Statue of lord Buddha. A peaceful place.. nice background view of the statue make it more attractive. Not every tourist visits this place. It was constructed by Buddhist welfare mission. The statue was made by local artists and it is an tribute to the spiritual messages of the Buddha which is also found in the literature of Rabindranath Tagore.
Overall a must visit place in Birbhum.

Glorious place with 34 Feet tall Buddha Statue situated near Sonajhuri Forest. The background view makes the statue looks more mesmerizing. The place has its own beauty and filled with Peace and harmony.

Entry is prohibited now. Must visit place with friends and family if interested. Loved this place.

A huge 34 feet Buddhist tomb at Ballav Danga, Bolpur, Shantiniketan. This was initiated and developed by Dr. Ambedkar Buddhist Welfare Society after he embraced Buddhism to save and nourish the downtroddens of this part of Bolpur.

Al though this place is now under construction, it is open for all to visit which is just opposite to the prakriti vabana. You can take a E rikshaw or auto to visit it during your trip.

Those who have visited Shantiniketan quite a number of times, but haven't visited this place, shouldn't miss out next time. A must visit, for sure.
