I am in yoga field from past 1.5 year . But the knowledge of Yoga asanas of mr Anup Purohit is great . Know one is comparable to him . But I can say this because I joined different yoga centre and learnt from different teacher but the teaching of mr Anup Purohit is immense. By guru knowledge we can exceed our limits.

Very good experience at the Yoga School. Anoop Purohit is a great teacher who ensures that every student not only understands how the Yoga asanas are done but also the science behind each asana and how it benefits us. I will look forward to come back for a longer course.

I completed 300hr with Anoop Purohit, who was formerly at Abharanya Yogpreeth.

What to say, except I am grateful to have trained and learnt from the best teacher in rishikesh!

Learning yoga in Rishikesh is not for the fainthearted.... Its is tough, from the huge culture shock and different way of life. However, it that very process that bring the personal transformation one seeks on the yogic pathway and one seeks as a teacher.

But it is all worth it.
The level of commitment, diligence, hawk eye of Anoop, develops you to become someone new/revamped/remodeled/retuned/realigned! :)

Having the opportunity, because it is just that, the opportunity, to train under Anoop is on another spiritual dimension. He requires commitment your stamina, resilience, surrender and discipline....to transform you as a practioner.
What may seem unorthodox teaching, in fact is simply the best. He is also immensely funny, once you see beyond his disciplined techniques and stern voice.

On the living side, the inhouse cook is excellent and delicious... Even for non vegetarians, like me! :)... He too has his own perculier personality, but he has his army like approach to cooking.... 'i cook and thats it'. Dont expect chit chat or any wastage.... Which is the yogic approach anyway.

The accommodation is definitely better than many of the places in Tapovan or rishikesh. Do come prepared tho in winter..hot water bottle etc.
Bring toilet paper as in india this is not the common way and /or is expensive to buy.
Essentially bring your own comforts to soften the training. But its all transformative and brings out the best in you... ????....
