It's a beautiful located property overlooking Himalayas. Unfortunately, forest fire and mist kept them from showing. However, that's not my reason for deducting a star. It was the food. Sorry to say but tasted quite bad and costed a bomb. Apparently, head chef was away when we visited.

I am noticing a few reviewers flagging the staff behaviour. Hope the hotel management imparts the right soft skills and professional attitude. From my personal perspective, didn't find it rude. It was a typical pahadi behaviour, a bit rough around the edges initially, no show off. Being a pahadi myself, it didn't faze me. For example, one guy/kid barged into our room thrice about some TV issue in the next room! Told him, don't need to watch TV but he insisted. We were resting after a long day and I wouldn't have allowed a stranger in, especially with a female resting too, had we been in the plains somewhere. Older staff was of course more mature and courteous. Some basic training will help serve the tourists better, but don't entirely loose the pahadi touch.

A decent stay in proximity to the Patal Bhubaneswar cave temple. The cottages come with a balcony overlooking the mesmerizing Nanda Devi range, Panchuli, Trishul and more (on a clear day). Local food options available.

Rooms look good and have a nice view of Nanda Devi Range from rooms window. But service was very poor. Commode flush was not working. Electricity not available maximum times. Room heater , geyser was not working. No use in reporting about these to hotel staff. They did not take steps to rectify any of the services.
