Naina Peak is a popular trekking destination in Nainital. It is better to spend your time here than snow view or nainital zoo. It is situated at an altitude of 2,615 m (8,578 ft) and offers stunning views of the Himalayas, the Kumaon region, and the city of Nainital. The trek to Naina Peak is a moderate one, covering a distance of 6 km (3.7 mi) from Mallital. The trail is well-maintained and passes through a dense forest of oak, pine, and rhododendron trees. The trek took me around 1.5 hours to complete, and the views from the top are well worth the effort. However it's safe to assume it can take you up to 2 hours to climb and only 1 hour to get down.

On a clear day, the views from Naina Peak are simply breathtaking. The snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas dominate the skyline, and the city of Nainital is spread out below like a jewel in the valley. The trek also gave us great opportunity to see some of the local wildlife, including monkeys, deer, and birds.

The Naina Peak Trek is a great way to experience the natural beauty of Nainital and the surrounding region. It is a moderately challenging trek that is suitable for people of all fitness levels. The views from the top are simply stunning and make the trek well worth the effort. Furthermore, it's a great place to take pictures for the infulencer in you.

Here are some tips for trekking to Naina Peak:

Start early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day.( The earlier the better)

Wear comfortable shoes with good traction. (The leaves are slippery)

Carry plenty of water and snacks. (At least 500 ml per person)

Be prepared for the weather, as it can change quickly in the mountains.

Let someone know where you are going and when you expect to be back. ( Leopards are the real deal in the mountains)

Naina Peak is a beautiful and rewarding destination for a trek. With its stunning views of the Himalayas and the surrounding region, it is a trek that everyone should experience at least once.

Here are some additional details about the Naina Peak Trek:

The best time to trek to Naina Peak is during the spring (March-May) or fall (September-November) when the weather is mild.

The trek can be completed in half day.

There is only one tea and Maggie stall at the top, it is advisable to carry your own food and water.

The trek is moderately challenging, but it is not too difficult for people of average fitness.

The views from the top of Naina Peak are simply stunning and make the trek well worth the effort.

New Name: Naina Peak
Old Name: Cheena Peak
Height 8622 ft.
The highest peak in nainital.
You can enjoy the 360 view of nainital from this peak. I would say my most memorable nainital moment was this peak.
Breathtaking view of naini lake and Himalayas from here which a camera can’t capture.
The problem is from starting point it is a trekk of 3 km which take 40 min to 90 min based on fitness. Elder ones should definitely avoid this trekk. And try to go for this in morning between 6-8 because it gets sunny after that atleast in march when I visited it did.
this is a must visit place. I would totally recommend going for this one.
