Jungle Lore Birding Lodge, Pangot

We stayed there for a couple of days and it was a fine experience. It is a must place for birders. They have a good hide out beside a water hole. A number of birds and animals drink water and have bath and one can observe and take beautiful pictures from the hideout. The cottages are beautifully furnished and decorated in a quaint way. The service was very nice too. They provide good guide for birdwatching too. The only downside is the tariff, which is a bit on the higher side.

An amazing place for birdwatchers and nature lovers. The staff is extremely nice, attentive and helpful. The huts are wonderful and romantic. The food is excellent and freshly prepared for each meal. Tea, coffee, lassi... are available at any time and one can enjoy drinking them while sitting in the beautiful garden, watching birds, monkeys and other wildlife. The birdwatching guides are well trained, and our guide Gajvir was polite and a very good birdwatcher. We enjoyed every minute and would definitely come back.

I would like to thank very much Asian Adventures and especially Iqbal Ahmad for organising our family bird photography trip to Pangot in Uttarakhand in December 2022. In Pangot we spent great two weeks in Jungle Lore Birding Lodge. The weather was very nice and the food and service very good. We have seen and photographed a lot of beautiful birds around the lodge and in the surrounding areas. Asian Adventures gave us a very good bird guide Mahesh who was able to find even the most difficult birds and a very good driver Pawan who drove exceptionally well in this difficult mountain terrain. Tejpal as well as the other service man in Jungle Lore Birding Lodge cared about us as for the members of their own family. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Once again thank you very much to all of you. For us it was an unforgettable experience.
