Its sole purpose is to serve the students and scientists, but mostly it serves as a lodge to other staff of ICAR, students wont get rooms easily as simply as the staff. It's too good the food is great, the staff and cooks are also good, and the premises are very nice. From the hostel you can see Nanda Devi and its sister peaks. Try going there on sunny days otherwise you wont have a good look of those peaks. *Others are strictly prohibited inside the IVRI campus*

Nice and clean Hostel, food is very delicious and service is also good. Fresh air and climate is very pleasant.
