Sri Varahi Devi Temple

This temple has been there for quite a few years but has got more prominence in the last 4-5 years due to spiritual guru's mentioning in YouTube and mostly Telugu speaking people visit this temple making it more and more crowded/popular.

Darshan starts at 7.30am and to avoid long queues, one should be at the temple by around 5.00am-5.15am so can be first in line or a few after and slowly the crowd starts around 6am forming lines on both sides of the road creating more noise (sometimes people even fight with each other over arguments).

Just have some patience, so there is no need to pay Rs.300/- for special darshan as everyone has to see the goddess through the same hole.

Had visited Varahi Matha Temple on 28th March and the temple was much crowded than usual as it happened to be the week of the Sri Ram Navami, hence the temple timings were extended from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM instead of 9:30 AM.

Sri Varahi Devi Temple it is in underground. This temple is open only in the morning time. People will believe that varahi maa is the grama devatha of varanasi and she is protecting the varanasi night time and she will rest on mornings. That is the reason why temple will remain close on morning times. Very powerful goddess.

Must visit place on Varanasi.
