This Ghat is flanked by a palace built by king Rana Jagatsingh of Udaipur, hence called as Rana Mahal ghat. There is temple dedicated to Vakratunda Vinayaka.

The place is not well kept. It is less crowded. Boat rides are available from here, but it can be a hassle to bargain with them.

The ghat has a palace built by the king Rana Jagatsingh of Udaipur and thus it is called as Rana Mahal ghat. In its vicinity at the upper part there is a shrine of Vakratunda Vinayaka.

It is very calm, less crowded and peaceful here.

Rana Mahal Ghat, as the name suggests, was built by a Rajput chieftain, Maharana of Udaipur in 1670. It is situated between Darbhanga Ghat and Chousatti Ghat and on the southern side of Dashaswamedh Ghat. The ghat is also home to a grandiose palace which showcases the best of Rajput style of architecture.
Located on the southern end of Dashaswamedh Ghat Rana Mahal Ghat was built in 1970 by a Rajput Chieftain and Maharana of Udaipur.
Ranamahal is a gigantic souvenir of Rajasthani Rajputana art in the grounds of Banaras, Built on the bank of Ganges by High King Rana Jagat Singh of Udaipur during his pilgrimage to Varanasi in 17th century and hence the adjacent Ghat got its name from the fortress. Along the northern and southern part of the steps shivalingas can be spotted here in a group of five.
The Rana Mahal Ghat is hard too miss because of the imposing brown antiquated structures on either side of the steps that tower into the sky, looking down upon benevolently upon the steady string of bathers and river boats. This ghat was constructed by the Maharajah of Udaipur in Rajasthan in the 1670's, and is mostly visited for a beautiful shrine that lies on the top. The best time to come is early in the morning when Hindu worshipers arrive in throngs to cleanse themselves of sins with a holy dip in the Ganges.
Above Ranamahal Ghat is the octagonal bay windows of Hotel Elena, where visitors get rooms with superb views.
