Located near Harsh gas agency in Mehmurganj, Varanasi, Rajasthani rasoi comes as a pleasant surprise. although the entrance is little disappointing (situated on 3rd floor and way up is not good), but the ambiance inside is lovely. Rajasthani decor, quite and peaceful, polite and friendly staff; all plus for a good restaurant. As the name suggests, it is absolutely rajasthani. The thali is a treat, sumptuous and delicious. but the lack of variety might leave somebody dissatisfied. if they could add few more things, it will deserve a 5 star rating. sometimes people want something light to eat.
you wont find a lot of people in the restaurant but plenty of deliveries are done. the chef deserves an applause.
Parking can be a big hassle.
I am definitely going back when I am next in Varanasi.

We visited Kashi Vishwanath Temple with family and wanted to have a good lunch in a good restaurant. We found this on google based on google but unfortunately it was not as good as i expected based on google review. We ordered royal Thali with unlimited but later the waiter refused to serve any item from thali as i shared my thali with my 3 year old kid. What the heck, really ? I feel cheated or false info presented on the menu. Also, no one was there even though they were delivering orders very late. The thali was not so tasty and the paneer sabzi was the worst i ever ate.
I do not recommend this place to my family.

This was not on my list of places to eat in Varanasi but we stumbled upon this as it was close to our stay. It seemed a bit empty at first and we were skeptical, but it turned out to be really nice.
Tried the royal thali and seasonal vegetable, which was sarson ka saag.
The food was good. Everything was nice. Not too heavy. Some standouts were sarson ka saag, dal baati churma, gajar ka halwa and paneer with vegetable sabzi.
The gajar ka halwa had desiccated coconut which was unique and tasted surprisingly nice.
Staff was prompt, welcoming, courteous and excellent.
