On the northern end of Prabhu ghat a palatial building and the ghat was constructed by the King of Panchakota (Bengal) in the latter half of 19th century A.D. The series of thin stairs from ghat lead to the lavish palace of the king where two temples of Shiva and Kali are situated. Ghat is Pakka (concrete) but the place is of lesser importance regarding religious rituals.
