Maharaja Harishchandra Ghat is an excellent place to observe the sunrise and the sunset and experience the beauty of nature closely. In Hindu mythology it is believed that if a person is cremated at the Harish Chandra Ghat, that person gets salvation or "moksha".
This is also the ghat where the evening Ganga Aarthi takes place attracting a huge crowd.

Divine place. Harischandra ghat where the cremation is going on at Varanasi. The place of Mokha and the place of truth. Death is the one which is confirmed in our life time and its a fact/ truth. Hara hara Mahadeva..

We can reach by auto or cycle ruksha. Place of importence, less visited by piligrams than manikanika ghat, here we can see gana harati and burning ghat same place. With out much rush of popular das aswameda ghat, where you wont find place to stand
