A lovely little spot. Like most of the hostels in Varanasi, small and quaint. My room was very small and shared with one other in bunk beds...but the price was right. Reasonably clean (India clean), beds were comfortable, staff was helpful and friendly. Quiet for sleeping at night and early morning.

My wife and I stayed at chatterbox for nearly a week while in Varanasi. The place has soul and is run by super friendly staff, while the owner has the attention to detail that really sets this place apart from other hostels. There is a nice rooftop view. We had a private room with comfy beds and clean sheets, good natural light and (even more important) the best indoor lighting we've yet to experience in India. No flourescent bare bulbs! ! Unfortunately we both fell quite ill during our stay, but we were grateful to have been sick in this room. The staff was also very caring during this time. It's a relatively new hostel and I only expect it to improve with time.

The place was clean, the internet worked well, young women at the reception was very friendly.
The entrance and the place was a bit difficult to find but people in the street helped to find it.
The breakfast is like everywhere: egg/omelette and toast.
The view and terrace is nice but similar to other places.
They helped us to get a taxi to the airport but charged 70% on top of the standard price, a nice commission for them.
