Saharanpur Junction railway station is a junction railway station on the Northern Railway network in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Saharanpur city's name was given after the Saint Shah Haroon Chishti. Its station code is SRE. It has 6 main platforms & two platforms for mal godam purpose.
It is connecting many states . Moradabad - Ambala line , Saharanpur -Merrut-Delhi line , Saharanpur-Shamli-Delhi lines . Rishikesh & Himachal also . It covers large area & mostly all the train stop here. Auto & rikshaw facilities available outside . General Ticket counter is inside and if you take from out side they charge some extra amount. Parking is paid & available outside. On other end there is lakdi ka pul connecting two ends of the station. Waiting room also there .

Saharanpur railway station is a major railway station located in the city of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. It is one of the busiest railway stations in the region and caters to a large number of passengers every day. This station is well-connected with other major cities of the country via various railway lines.

The station has two main platforms and one waiting room, which has a capacity of seating around 100 passengers. The station also has one foot-over bridge which is used to cross over from one platform to another. This bridge is equipped with escalators to facilitate the movement of passengers.

The station is also well-equipped with various facilities and services which are designed to make the travel experience of the passengers comfortable. The station has an automatic ticket vending machine (ATVMs) to facilitate the purchase of tickets. The station also has a computerized reservation system to facilitate the booking of tickets.

The station also has a restaurant located inside the station premises, which provides the passengers with delicious food items. In addition, there is also a tea stall located inside the station premises which offers hot tea and snacks.

The station is well-maintained and is kept clean and tidy. The staff at the station is also very friendly

The most connected railway station among North India. One most famous quote for this place that there is no night happens here, means this Railway Station always be awake because every single hours trains stopped here. The station is directly connected with the nearest local bus station where you catch the Buses for Uttrakhand & Himachal. If you are traveling between Delhi to Dehradun and wants to short your time than make your train journey till Saharanpur and then take a Bus from outside the Station which can reduce your travel time by 2 to 3 hours. Buses availablity to Dehradun almost every hour. Pre Independence this station was connected to Lahore Pakistan. You can get the direct trains here for Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Jammu in the North. Chennai, Mumbai, Ratnagiri in the South. Jaipur, Ajmer & Ahmedabad in the west and Kolkata Howrah, Puri & Guwahati in the East.
Also you will get the trains to nearby station like Delhi, Ghaziabad, Ambala, Meerut, Moradabad & Haridwar. Lucknow, Prayagraj & Varanasi are also connected via Howrah Route. Just outside the station Nanak Dhaba & Pandit Ji Dhaba offers a variety of Nort Indian tasty food like Chole & Bhature, Paratha and Indian Special Tea. Many Hotels provide accommodation nearly a walking distance if you want to stay long. Best option are Skylark Hotel, Royal Residency & American Hotel. For Food & outside Dining, I recommend you to taste the Veg dishes of Guru Nanak Dhaba & Barkat Dhaba near Ghanta Ghar & if you are Mughlai Dishes Lover than the most favourite destination is Zaffran & Turkish Restaurant which is just a five minute distance via Car. Al Dajaj & Ali Baik are also the popular crispy chicken restaurants. Three Major Industries of the City are Wooden Handicrafts, Sugarcane & Paper Mill. ITC Cigrette Factory also plays an important role in the economical activities and infrastructure development. These are the only source of employment here which is contribute almost the 65% to 75% of the total employment here.
This city is also my birth place, I have a personal attraction towards each and every parts of this most wonderful city.
