Rameshwaram was once a clean place but a myth that devotees should leave their clothes in which they have taken bath before darshan , has made the beach dirty . In the temple also the custom to take bath in 14 wells should also be reviewed by the priests so that temple premises remains clean and focus should be on cleaning spiritually .Priests and trust can easily motivate people to adopt Good practices.
