They add a personal touch to everything they make. Especially the kids enjoy the innovative cake ideas. I am very happy with the services.

I am writing this long review detailing my personal experience with this business on 18th Aug 2021.

I have ordered a jungle theme cake for my baby's 1st birthday. We organized a big jungle theme party. I went on google and selected this shop reading the positive reviews (now I think most of them could be even fake). It was a 3 tier, 5 kg, cream base cake with fondant animal characters. Mrs. Rashmi told us it will cost Rs. 6000 and because it will be a big cake, she will get it delivered personally and ensure everything is good as discussed. They delivered the cake late by 1.5 hrs at 8:30 pm in badly damaged condition. Now I am left with a damaged cake at 8:30 at night in a jungle theme party. My guests were already waiting for 1.5 hrs. I asked her to come and fix the cake somehow so I can use it and she immediately denied it. She said she will process the refund. Everyone in my family got super angry and frustrated. I asked her to leave the damaged cake there and I was able to arrange a new 2 kg green plain cake from a nearby bakery at about 10:30 PM. My entire party was ruined, people waited too long, everybody in my family was unhappy. Now next day when I asked her for the refund that she promised earlier, she blatantly denied it and said "what about the cake that you kept which your guests consumed." she further said, the cake which I delivered was perfect except for only the design was ruined. Mind you, this was a jungle theme party. Also, she was too much worried about her loss of Rs. 3000 (advance payment) and she said she has got the (damaged) cake delivered without taking the remaining Rs. 3000 from us so we should be grateful for her kindness.

I shared the birthday card with the address and it was a simple address. They could have used Google maps like we all do but they called me for the specific route to reach the venue. That route has some blockage of which I was not aware. We did not complain and accepted the delay which happened due to rerouting but surprisingly when I asked for the refund she blamed me for telling the wrong route which also wasted 2 hrs of her delivery person's time.

At last, I would say, Occasions Cake Shop, Alambagh Lucknow, has some good cakes on their fb and insta page but they are not professionals. When things go wrong, they do not show even the slightest concern for their customers. And it is not only about the refund, it is about the attitude of the shop owner. Later she said, "We deliver the cake but do not guarantee delivery in good condition"... First this is unbelievable, and secondly why on earth anybody would order the cake if delivery is not guaranteed - I have all recordings and WhatsApp messages of this cake shop owner. If you somehow decide to trust them for your parties with bigger cakes, you will be taking a huge risk. I've faced a lot of embarrassment at my party and later on frustration due to her rude and inhumane behavior. Every time I tried to talk to her, all she kept repeating was about her loss of Rs. 3000. She had not even the slightest empathy for my loss which was both financial and emotional. This was the first birthday of my baby. She could have come and fixed the cake somehow to save my occasion but she denied it blatantly. The least she could do was to process refund but she blamed me for everything and told me million times how much loss she had to handle due to this cake.

I have attached the picture of the cake delivered and the one I could arrange at 10:30 at night.

BEAUTIFUL & YUMMY CAKE

Thank you for the service. It was a great surprise birthday cake and loved the taste. The packaging looks wonderful and cake was beautiful as well.
