भारत के प्रथम स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में सबसे प्रमुख लखनऊ के रेजिडेंसी के अंदर स्थित ये एक उत्खनन का स्थान है जिस स्थान पर 2001 से 2005 के दरमियान हुई खुदाई के फलस्वरूप अनेक महत्वपूर्ण और उपयोगी पुरातात्विक अवशेष एवं संरचनाएं बाहर निकल कर सामने आई हैं, जिनमें से मार्टनियर पोस्ट, डुपरेट का घर, अनेक सैनिक बैरक प्रमुख रूप से दर्शायी गयी हैं इसके अतिरिक्त जल निकासी, जल संशोधन सीवेज की व्यवस्था इत्यादि के प्रमाण यहां की खुदाई में सामने आए हैं । यहां पर खुदाई के दौरान 18वीं एवं 19वीं शताब्दी से संबंधित अवशेषों से परिसर में रहने वालों की उस समय की जीवन शैली की और सामाजिक स्थित की जानकारी प्राप्त की जा सकती है।
