Panki Dham, a suburb railway station of the city of Kanpur named after an enormously popular Hindu Temple of Lord Hanumana called Panki Mandir(पनकी मंदिर; lit. pronunciation 'pŭn-key').
The station was commissioned in the year 1981 to cater the need of transportations of goods and materials for various significant industries located in the vicinity.
Railway Station remains neat and calm whole day as there are just a couple of trains(Mail/Express) halting here.
Imp. Note: PNKD is the only stoppage for Sharam Shakti Exp. (T. No. 12451/12452) for its 440 kms journey from Kanpur to Delhi. The halt of Shramshakti Exp. at PNKD is a big respite to the locals residing in the adjacent areas of railway station.

Panki dham is new name of panki railway station. It is clean and hygienic. Colorful. The place always less crowded. It lies on route of kanpur central. It is 8km near to kanpur central. Usually many people of kanpur stair down here. Good place. Panki mandir is famous here. One can visit nearby.
