There was a piece of stone mounted on the left side of the main entrance and that stone had a repute that, anyone measuring this stone irrespective of his/her size, it will measure exactly चार अंगुल (four fingers) and because of this specialty of that stone the mosque is known as Char Angul Mosque.

Some areas of Daraya coast of Jaunpur were liked by the people of Shirqi. On the Pandaribira Road you will find many buildings of old time, many of which will be found in Imambarghah which was made in the memory of Imam Hussein (AS). Here there is a mosque which is situated on the Pan Dariiba road,
adjacent to the Muqabra Saeed Kazim Ali, which is called the Khalis mouth or the four-finger mosque. Two Sardar of Sarkar Sultan Ibrahim Shah used to come to this area that one day he met " Hazrat Janab Syed Usman Shirazi Sahib who was a Sufi and had come from Delhi " to escape the invasion of Jaunpur Timur and came here from Delhi and see the beauty here. Just settled here. With Saeed Osman Shirazir Sahib, both of these Sardar Khalis chiefs were so pleased that their majjad was executed in their glory. Janab Usman Shirazi's grave is there in front of the four-finger mosque, few people know about it. Hazrat Janab Usman Shirazi's family still live in the Pondiribah area, whose house is now known as Mohalla's "Mir Ghar" Are.
"His son Hazrat syed Abdullah and Grandson Hazrat Syed Muhammad Assalamualaikum become successor".
From the point of view of construction art this mosque is a tableau of sharky art which is in bad shape. It was constructed in 1417 according to Gazetteer Jaunpur. Sikandar Lodhi hurts him very much
Four Angle Paths in Masjid
Although this mosque is under the supervision of Archeology Department today, the part behind it has fallen and it still needs repairs. There was no care taker of the Archeology Department even after exploring. In this mosque, there is a four-pointed stone in the wall on the left hand side, which is famous about it that if it was first measured, it would have been four fingers but now it is not so. The people of Sony Tola speak many things which can not be found in history. Someone says that since the British started the shoot here, this stone will not come after measuring the four oysters at all. Someone says that fish and horse are made in the mosque. It appears that the fish and horse noses have been created later and they are being told something.
