Rajdari, Devdari near Varanasi are a very popular picnic spot for tourists and local people of Varanasi and nearby places. For those who are aware of these waterfalls, it is a major attraction near Varanasi. I noticed so many tourists already enjoying in Rajdari waterfalls when we arrived because it is a major picnic spot for the locals of Varanasi and nearby cities such as Jaunpur.
People are attracted by the sheer beauty of the place. It is a pity that not much is written in the mainstream media and traditional travel guidebooks about such obscure and offbeat destinations of Uttar Pradesh. Since U.P. is my home state, I wanted to change that through this detailed guide on Rajdari Devdari waterfalls with a bonus feature on the nearby Aurwatand canyon and Waterfalls.
The beauty of the grand canyons which were formed over several centuries of erosion by water and wind is hard to explain in words, pictures and videos. These are some of the best offbeat places to visit near Varanasi or Banaras. During my visit, I observed that this untouched region near Varanasi has tremendous potential for further development of tourism. Several efforts to make eco-tourism here a reality can already be seen. The areas around areas of Chandauli, Sonebhadra, Mirzapur and Ghazipur district can turn into a tourist magnet if things work as planned.

Very quiet and peaceful, if you can ignore the punishing heat of Indian summers. We went in mid September, so it wasn't as hot. Also, it had rained heavily a few days back, so the view was outstanding.
