I'll always have a soft spot for this zoo.

Used to come regularly in the 90's & early 2000's.
And while the enclosures and the overall hygiene has improved, the wildlife variety has reduced.

Separate primate area is an improvement but as mentioned lesser variety.
Hoolock gibbons are a bigger attraction than the famed clouded leopards.
So, more of them would be nice.

Sad to see that many of the species don't have partners.

The old boating area & the island (near the rest house) are no longer properly accessible.

Make it available to the public (atleast families) but hike the fees. It will be self-sustaining & at the same time keep the attendance manageable.

As always, lots of potential here but.. but...

Very much worth visiting. Come with a couple of water bottles as it may take more than 2-3 hours to see everything properly. If possible bring a camera as phone's camera will not be good enough to click pictures due to the required zoom-in's and also safety nets.

It's a big sanctuary. Limited animals. Good spot for outing with family and friends. Well connected by highway. There's limited option of fooding around. The roadway inside the sanctuary is in pathetic condition!
