A must try breakfast joint in Hyderabad. It’s not as cozy as you may want or may not be Intstagram worthy, but the food makes up for it. I really loved the Vadas and the Upman - it was lip smacking.

DISCLAIMER - This is not a restaurant and I'm taking this into consideration for the overall review score. The best way to experience the food served here is to go there early in the morning and pick up the meal yourself. There's no Swiggy or Zomato coverage for this eatery. THEY DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHING BUT COLD HARD CASH. DONT EXPECT UPI/CARD PAYMENTS HERE.

Here's my review of Iyer's tiffin center. This is a Brahmin family/household run eatery and is not a place of business. It's a very humbling setup with just one or two of the family members here to attend to the large crowds waiting in queue to be served. It is clear that they do not want to cater to the customer experience since the food is essential home-made and authentic, which is the core offering here.

Prepare to wait in line for 15 minutes to get your order served. Also, You'll have to eat on the road or sit in your car to have this meal. No seating options should be expected.

The family serve you per the queue and hand over the meal and you then hand over your cash. Preferably tender exact amounts to spare the agony for the queue behind you.
The food in itself is FANTASTIC. Whether it is pongal, upma and medu vada (Idly dosa wasn't available on my visit sadly) you'll enjoy it with their sambar and chutney!

It is obviously economical with each dish costing 50 INR and of healthy portion/serving size. Again, remember this is more a catering service than a restaurant. Bring the food home and enjoy it best you can.

This restaurant may not have a place to sit, but the food more than makes up for it.

The Wada and Pongal are both excellent choices, served hot and bursting with flavor. The sambar is particularly noteworthy, with a perfect blend of spices and impeccable hygiene standards.

While the restaurant can get crowded and you may have to wait in line, it's definitely worth it for the quality of food on offer. It's also worth noting that the restaurant only accepts hard cash, so make sure to bring some with you.
