Amirthi Zoological Park is a zoo in Tiruvannamalai District in the Indian territory of Tamil Nadu. It was opened in 1967 and is around 55 kilometers 34 mi from region home office Tiruvannamalai city and 25 kilometers 16 mi from the Vellore city. The territory of the recreation center is 25 hectares and one can discover wonderful water falls. Half of this wilderness is cleared to fill in as a vacationer spot while the other half is created as an untamed life asylum. A trek for a kilometer drives one to a full perspective of regular waterfall.

A nice place for the weekend.

This is a nice place to spend a weekend with the kids. It's a small one with very common animals, but your kids will surely enjoy it. The park associated with the zoo provides some recreational activities for kids. Though traveling via Bagayam can save you a lot of kilometers. The road is ok; but with a few rough patches in between

Don't expect too much it's small zoo only.. just parrots ducks turtles deer peacock crocodile and 2 snakes only... There is a beautiful stream on left side of the zoo... So u can enjoy on that with ur family... Don't walk too much alone on that stream monkeys are behaving rudely..
