There is a perumal temple in this location but the photos are misleading as they are of the perumal temple in thiruvanandapuram kerala. This temple was built by raja named thimmaraja as a gratitude of being blessed by a son by the grace of tirupathi balaji as he was childless for many years. This temple was visited and patronised by the pandiyan kings one can see fish carvings of the pandiyas inside the temple. Two unique features of this temple is that there is tall stone lamp in place of stambam and the stala Vriksham is panai maram which is located in the back side of the temple. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the temple. The temple complex is very small but loaded with history. The poojaris explained us this history when we visited in December 2018
