The welcome restaurant used to be my favourite place for lunch for its authentic fishes and gravies. Now the place is modified and looks neat and clean with a pleasant ambiance.

As usual their nonveg lunch was yummy and mutton chukka was fantastic. We also had nattukozhi fry, liver fry, thalaikari fry and they served uswkth mutton, chicken, thalaikari gravy.

Their morekulambu was amazing and the kootu poriyals were good too.

Sick to the basics
Atmosphere is what it is.. Basic stone tables, Wooden chair, open to road entry.
Keep that aside and order your food.
Hot, tasty, homely and light on the tummy is what u get.
First day night tried the Dosa, chicken 65.. Chutney, sambar and mutton gravy are compliment in bucket loads. ,
Throw your own soiled banana leaf is a good touch.
Next stop for Meals Lunch

Very worst and rude behaviour of hotel management. mutton was rotten in briyani. We went there because of taxi people suggested. My whole family faced health issues after eating here, food safety officers need to inspect the hotel regularly and please take action. Kodaikanal tourism board need to take action. Most of the people from other states unknowingly going there. These kind of hotel are spoiling the name of tamilnadu. Not worth for money. Prices are too high and food quality and serving is bad. If we complain anything Only owner of the hotel is used to console us whenever serving people do mistakes. But no use of it. They used to suggest food items. Please don't take that. after serving they will not come to your table. My suggestion to hotel, try to provide quality food to people don't play with people health. What customer likes provide that only.. cleanliness need to maintain. Food safety officers need to check properly. Overall zero rating. There is no options to give zero. Google need to review this comments to change the option to give zero or negative ratings.
