Ekambaranathar temple is one of the pancha bootha (for land) temple of lord shiva. Pancha bootha temples are air (kalahasti), water (trichy jambukeswar), fire (ARUNACHALESWAR), sky (Chidambaram natarajar), land (Kanchi Ekambaranathar). This temple is almost 4000 years old with spacious divine environment. Here Lingam is made of sand. In this temple Kanchi Kamatchi Amman had done tapas (Thavam) to marry lord shiva so this temple is considered as one of the famous parikara sthalam ( for the people who didn’t get married and without child). We can see 3500 year old mango tree here, where special prayers are done. This temple is one of the 108 divya desam of lord venkateswara (perumal).Very pleasant place, stress buster. Inside temple thiru kulam (holy pond) is present, the chill breeze from it and the positive vibe of the temple will make our mind refreshing. Everyone must visit this temple atleast once in your life to feel the eternity. It is present at the centre of Kanchipuram city. Ample parking space is available. AVOID PLASTIC, SAVE NATURE, ENJOY THE DIVINITY. Om Namah Shivaya. HAPPY DEVOTION. Happy Life.
