A 120 year old house where household artifacts of old times are on display. It gives a good idea how people used to live a century back in this region. An entry ticket of Rs 10 is charged. There is a lady attendent inside the house, but mostly she was busy doing her work rather than guiding around the house. It would have been nice if she explained a bit more.

One of the best places I visited in Kanchipuram. My humble respects and appreciation to the Mudaliyar family who so thoughtfully preserved the old memories of the house and dedicated it for public display.

The house reminisces the past glory of the good olden days, the cultural aspects and humble way of living then. So much for the younger generation to see back and look at their roots.

Thanking the family once again to let us have a look at the house which immensely interests people like me to remember my own forefathers and the environment around them.

Visited this place today...we were so happy and excited to see the 100 yr old house and the household items they used. It was scorching hot outside but didn't feel the heat even a bit inside the house That's our ancestors architecture. Kids also enjoyed a lot. Must visit place in kanchipuram
