The Aalamarathu Muneeswarar temple is located at Vellitiruppur on Vellitiruppur-Kurumbapalayam, Guruvareddiyur Road in Erode District, Tamil Nadu-638314. The Lord Muneeswara, Goddess Pachchai Nayagi Amman and Lord Vamuniswamy are main deities placed in this temple. Visitors from all over the area use to come and have dhashan. The Devotees who have some specific uncured and chronic diseases come and stay at this holy temple, worship the Gods and get their diseases cured. Special Poojas are performed on all Tuesdays. The devotees attend to these special Poojas, pray for their good health and return back home happily. One Mr.Murthi of Kurumbapalayam village is the Hereditary Dharmakartha of the temple who only perform regular Poojas.

Further, a Shiva Rathri Pooja is every year conducted in a grand manner on Tuesday i.e. on the very next Tuesday of the usual Shiva Rathri Pooja week. I with my family use to visit the temple and attend the Pooja and get the graces and blessings of the God. On this benevolent day, we believe that the Lord sharpens our intellect, broadens our positive attitude and deepens our awareness. The vibration which we receive from the God is thought provoking and inspiring one. This is a wonderful and powerful temple in the area. The Dharmakartha at his own effort has put up a small function hall to facilitate devotees to celebrate varied nature of functions and to prepare and serve food for them. There is also a plan to house the Gods in an extended and terraced building in the very near future.
