Must avoid shop in Mount road...
Odurless,colourless,tasteless briyani . Everything is low quality rice chicken sweet etc .. lemon juice was given in unhygienic glass with lot of dust .. refer image

Note : they will collect money for briyani befer the serve , u will know the reason at the end....

Umar Biryani on the Aziz Mulk Street near the Greams road has been my favorite spot for chicken biryani in this locality for almost 15 odd years now..Though it is just a stand and eat place it is always full and thronged by localites..In addition to this they also have a small dine in place in Nanganallur too which too full all the time and thats enough to show the fondness for this place among the people....And recently i found out that they have a new dine in outlet near the Anna Theatre and wanted to try it ASAP..

So Couple of days back i was here and found it hidden behind the subway next to Anna Theatre.. Looks wise its a small dine in outlet with cramped seating that resembles more like a fast food joint.. Greeted by the huge vessels of chicken and mutton biryani along with oil filled vessels for the chicken 65 and other fry items while the other side its the tandoori and grill area.. In addition to this there is an A/C dining area on the first floor which am yet to try..

The process on the ground floor is mostly token service for combo which is the regular here in addition to the normal Ala Carte menu.. Get a Token for Chicken Biryani combo at 110rs and Mutton Biryani Combo for 180rs and you are sorted as the servers serve the food in a jiffy.. No issues there and you cant ask for more...

I have only had chicken biryani at their other outlets and hence went with the same here too.. This combo consists of a bowl of chicken biryani along with couple of pieces of chicken 65, Raita, Brinjal chutney, Sweet and cool drink..

The biryani here is loaded with masala and taste similar to chennai style dum biryani but on the better side.. It has always left me wanting for more.. They use basmati rice along with well cooked juicy and tender meat with consistent taste all through.. So perfectly cooked that it literally falls of the bones.. The Raita and brinjal chutney are the usual stuff and sweet for the day was pineapple kesari which was really too good.. and overall it was a satisfying meal..

For the price tag of 110rs we cant ask for more as the meal for me was satisfying and filling.. Umar biryani outlets in Greams Road, Nanganallur and Near Anna Theatre are totally recommended by me and this particular outlet is best option for a quick grab of biryani in this locality...

They are using metro water to boil rice and marinate chicken
The water taste differ when sewage water mix with metro water when i say they argue to me about i don't know the taste,
i knew how the metro water taste
Kindly avoid the shop when u want to taste the food unless if u want to fill your tummy kindly visit this shop i paid Rs.150 for chicken briyani with 65combo without eat that even a half
They said no one had complaint earlier u only had complaining about the food taste when u r tasting food don't hesitate to give complaint about food????
