As a Chennaite we all know abput Grand Sweets. If yoi are not a Chennaite please try their savouries and sweets.
Coming to the show stopper which is nothing but their Idiyaapam and Kurma. Yes your eyes are reading correct. Their Idiyaapam and Kurma are Grand Snacks show stopper. I know we all tried Sweets. But atleast once try their Idiyaapam and kurma. Must try. Their coconut based kurma will really tastes different and rich. Once you taste their Idiyaapam you will not taste else where. Try it and thank me later.
P.S I used to have Idiyaapam at their Sashtri Nagar Adyar branch.

Grand sweets shastri nagar - is now like our regular neighborhood store! The go to place for traditional South Indian sweets n savories.
Nothing to beat the GS Kai murukku, thattai, mixture, seedai, traditional mysore pak and coconut barfi. Vazhakka and potato chips are all time favorites ! And yes, their masala peanuts!!
Their pista roll is awesome.
I always look forward to the "broken" Snacks n sweets!
Pickle and Thokku varieties are too good!
So splurge yourself!
Taste hasn't changed in several decades!

And customer service is excellent.

Visited this branch for the first time. As usual bought few items, thattai, laddu, muruku, badhusha etc.. high quality sweets. Even though price is slightly higher than other sweet shops, quality wise grand sweets is top.
