Very disappointing experience.

I had taken an appointment with Dr.Usha in this clinic for a very minor problem. It was diagnosed as nothing at all and that it was only a blood clot. She had checked my wound for under 2 minutes and spoke about the issue for under 5 mins.

In the remainder of the time, as she had seen my stretch marks, she took the liberty, without my consent and commented on it. Even after I asked her if her comment was about my wound that I had visited her for, she said no and went on to comment about what people might say in the future if they saw it. She even went to the extent of prescribing a cream for the stretch marks. She continued to pass multiple remarks even after I told her I was not insecure about my stretch marks.

I had not visited her for my stretch marks but for a wound in my chest, which she told that it wasn't severe as soon as she saw it and prescribed a tablet to reduce the swelling.

I was charged Rs.750 as consultation fee for nothing but to be judged by a doctor. The consultation fee I was charged was atrocious considering an experienced doctor like her had asked for it.

Never going back again.

Dr. Padmaja failed to notice a major diagnosis in the eye - a difference in interoculor pressure which was due to a life threatening tumour in brain. This Dr kept running from pillar to posts without proper focus on patients on the day of consultation. Kept on unnessarily diverting herself and showing off as if she's too busy and on high demand just like in the Ramana movie. The problem was later 'properly' diagnosed by another ophthalmologist during 2nd opinion which helped in timely saving the life with immediate treatment, and who even questioned this basic expertise of Dr. Padmaja.
Shame on such Dr people. Heartless. If one can't do a sensitive job properly, better sit at home rather than playing with innocent lives !
She should be legally sued for this major medical lapse !!

Reply to Dr. Ramesh on his response below:
For the sake of privacy I don't wish to reveal the details.
The patient came for this consultation due to severe migraine kind of headache. The patient had earlier done all sort of checkups in another hospital - heart, BP, Sugar - anything u name it.
The patient was actually having High Grade Glioma in Brain having malignant tumor of 10cm!! in size at the time of this consultation (Can u believe this?). And still Dr. Padmaja miserably failed to note this in the eye.
The patient had a 2nd opinion within a week as the patient was continuously vomiting with on and off headaches. The 2nd opinion was done by a junior opthal who just completed MD 3-4 yrs back yet noticed it more than Dr. Padmaja (what a shame!) and immediately referred for brain CT.
Thankfully within another week from the 2nd consultation (2 weeks since we met Dr. Padmaja) the patient was operated on an emergency basis by a neurosurgeon and is now under chemo.
If something would have happened to the patient inspite of all these consultations, who will take the responsibility?? An Opthal has a direct responsibility on this, isn't it?
Still I'm thinking of suing the hospital and Dr. Padmaja for this gross negligence under relevant Cr.P.C sections once even things settles down here.
PS: Kindly throw away all those irritating degrees framed in Dr. Padmaja's room. What good is it for? For flaunting? or is she a quack? Is she really a meritorious person? This is never a small mistake!
