This is located just backside of the Sam Thome Church. There is history about this pole which is described on a board there. The beach is just backside of the St.Thomas Pole. You may park your vehicle in the church parking ground. If you like this review, please like and comment. Thank you.

As a ten year old boy , some 67 years ago , I used to visit Santhome beach almost every evening. This flag post was there at that time. Locals used to tell us that this is a Portuguese post . Portuguese owned Santhome before the English. There used to be a round building where they used to play all india Radio . There was a volleyball court , tennikoit court , horizontal bar and a vertical bar for playing and gim. Now everything is no more. Lot of buildings have come up. The stairs place leading to the beach is dirty and filthy.

Supposedly this pole protected the church from the 2004 tsunami.
