The constant stream of 1 star reviews and their overall 2 star rating should be warning enough for the rest, but some of us like to live life dangerously, and regret it later. Trust the reviews every single one of them is true. The food is tasty, sure, but the quantity they serve is ridiculous for the premium they charge. Bill for two of us was 1200.

Pros - delicious biryani, lip-smacking poondu kulambu, above average starters.

Cons - not greatly maintained. Service is disorganised as hell. EXTREMELY expensive. The wash area is worse than what you'll see in a railway station. Sure we went on a crowded Sunday but that's not an excuse. On this fine day that we visited, the roof was leaking steadily! In what parallel world would you expect this in a restraunt that charges 400 bucks for a handful of biryani.

After long hours of window shopping and some actual shopping with my friend at Phoenix Market City, Velachery, we were tired and hungry from all the walking and we were searching for restaurants to have dinner. We found this restaurant within the mall and decided to try it. We visited the restaurant by around 9:30 PM. The staff showed use our table and took our order, he answered our queries regarding the menu items. Staff were extremely polite and courteous. Ambience was good, the restaurant was lit adequately. We ordered Paneer 65 for starters and for mains we had appam, plain dosai, bun parota and chicken chettinad gravy. Appam was served with coconut milk. Dosai had accompaniments of sambar, chutney, onion tomato thokku and idly powder in oil. Paneer 65 was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All the main course dishes were tasty, gravy was delicious. We also had sweet lime soda, which was good as well. Most items were priced on the higher side. They accept payment through cash and cards. All in all a very good experience.

Traditional South Indian famed Chettinad Non Vegetarian outlet.
Interiors are good.
Average quality of food.
Mutton curry was good but meat found to be hard.
Service very average. Even though they charge 5% for Service.
Courteous famed for during the early days of Kaaraikudi restaurant in the 90's and early millennium have definitely taken a back seat.
The price of all dishes are very highly priced.
This place needs a lot of improvement by the way of Quality of food and service.
