Went on an Sunday lunch. We have been waiting for 20min for our food. For other than biryani food gets delayed for more than 30 minutes.
While we were dining. nearby table had some issues while enquiring they said he been waiting for an hour except biryani nothing came to table he said.

Hotel Pandia's a specail biriyani restaurant in and around royapuram , north chennai , Recently had a chance to try their omr branch. Tbh a food lover I always find hard for a good biriyani , parota in and around ecr and omr (main).

OMR is flooded with restaurants from Biggies to street food but… I still haven’t got the safer feel when I try foods from royapettah , etc. Unlike big chains in OMR was finding a better option since ages.

Yes Pandias is also one of the bigger chain mainly focusing in North Chennai but this kinda restaurant will be quite new for people in OMR. The ambiance was good and descent had ample parking and the service was good. Visited aroun 8:00 PM with just few odd counts of customers.

Our Orders:
???? Mutton Nenju Elumbu Soup (150 INR) : Was great . A pakka south indian soup with huge pieces of mutton. The soup was spicy and had all the kaaram you need for a mini cold ????
???? Pepper BBQ Half (270 INR): Was good . Expected some more. The pieces where good sized and the masala was perfect felt a slight over cooked due to some crispy side of chicken. Overall it was a good starter ????u200d♂️
???? Mutton Biriyani (270 INR):Bomb ???? . This biriyani is one of its kind(not all will like this but) a good biriyani to be tried if you love the variation in Chennai biriyani. A mild spiced biriyani with the feel of gheeishness and the mutton essence overloaded ❤. The pieces where great and soft and tender(All boneless for me ). Served with Raitha , Kuruma(Must try) and EGG
???? Parota (1 PC) (45 INR): Was big and flaky . Need to order a side for this since no saalna will be provided. But if you have a chance try their Mutton Kuruma with parota. The bestest combo you can try here ????
???? Prawn Thokku (320 INR): Was good. The masala felt a home made touch but the quantity of prawns was very less. The prawns where fresh and good could have been includes some 10-15 mid sized prawns for the price thou.

Overall a good experience. Total bill came around 1100 for all of the dishes. Yes it’s a restaurant and the price is usual. Honestly I feel this should be tried for their south indian delicacies especially their meals , biriyani , kuruma other than other cusines. The royapuram branch remains the best and OMR can be considered for people who don’t want to come to Chennai interior????u200d♂️

TOTAL DISASTER!!! we ordered biriyani. Two chicken biriyani, two egg biriyani. They cost 220 for egg biriyani and 260 for chicken biriyani. After tasting it I called the restaurant people questioning is this the biriyani? First they claimed it as Hyderabadi dum, I have been to Hyderabad for an year, and I know how Hyderabad biriyani and I have been to karanataka, mumbai and Pune and have never tasted such a biriyani. No masala, no onions, no pudhina, I can call it tamarind rice with chicken and eggs accidentally fell into it and the same was served to us. And then they claimed it as something different style which is actually pandia's style.

Seriously!!!??? Then your style totally failed so pls pull up your sox and keep right people in your kitchen.

Am sure the chef/cook whoever is preparing it have no roots to biriyani at all. He must either lost his sense for taste or a complete alien to the industry.

Dear management, if you are planning to do a cost cutting by bringing in someone who doesn't know how to cook and you think you are smart?!!! Then you must be totally wrong.

Customers are paying money to what you serve and they deserve a quality food. I never waste the food so I returned it after tasting a spoon, but my poor family members had to eat as they were so hungry and with that too they couldn't finish what they ordered.

Be truthful to what you do!!!

I spoke to your manager too but what can he do, he is just doing his job.

I demand a compensation for what I paid. Your cost for such a bad food quality cannot be acceptable.

I have attached the bill too as a proof to prove that am not faking this review.
