No, the taste and quality of Tea is not as great as Darjeeling....after all, it is no Darjeeling Tea...it is Temi Tea my dear. But what I am writing here is not about Temi Tea, but about Temi Tea Garden...the birth place of exotic Temi Tea...the only Tea Garden in whole Sikkim...a garden wholly operated and controlled by Government of Sikkim. The place is just stunning.... infact breathtaking. The ambience, the environment, the lush greenery, the scintillating aroma and the hide and seek of magnanimous Kanchenjunga....just ethereal. By paying only Rs 20/ you can experience a whole new world. Yes, there are many paid activities...you can also experience luxurious staying if you are willing...you can also experience tea processing....but those things apart, just a mere physical presence amidst dark green tea leaves and a reddish golden Kanchenjunga above....this is Heaven my dear.

Temi Tea Garden is located in South Sikkim in the northeastern Indian state of Sikkim. It is the only tea garden in Sikkim and is considered one of the best in India and the world. The Temi Tea Garden was established in 1969 by the Government of Sikkim. The garden is spread over 177 hectares and provides premium-quality tea leaves with international demand.

The tea is made purely with organic fertilizers and the quality is impeccable, drawing various tourists throughout the year. The brand name ‘Temi Tea’ is one of the best quality consisting of pure tea ‘Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe #1 (TGOFP1)’. The next in quality is the popular brand of ‘Sikkim Solja’ followed by ‘Mystique’ and ‘Kanchanjunga Tea’.

The path to the processing factory is characterized by well-trimmed cherry blossom trees. If you’re a tea connoisseur then the best time to visit the tea garden is during spring, the season for first flush i.e March to April. If you plan a visit in November, be prepared to get floored by some glorious views for it is when the entire emerald expanse of the tea estate is lined with pink cherry blossoms.

Hope this information is useful to you.
