Appreciation Post.

We 3 friends from Mumbai decided on the very last minute to take a vacation from the Hustle and Bustle of the City and take out some peace time for ourselves.
We immediately thought of visiting Sikkim
That is how I came across this page Offbeat Sikkim and Homestays of Sikkim through Instagram.
Rajen Rai the man behind the show was prompt enough to properly guide us through our entire trip and get things organised for us.
We precisely stayed in 4 different Homestays in 4 different parts of Sikkim and each of these Homestays were way above our expectations.
The Cute Mountain homestay at Gangtok was our first and it took our heart right there. We fell in love with the place at once.
Then on our way to Gurudongmar we waited overnight at a Homestay in Lachen that offered us great comfort and equally great food.
The Lachungpa Homestay at Lachung had the best scenic views of snow clad mountains and river flowing just by the Homestay. It was like living in a paradise.
The Cherry Village Homestay Resort at Darap had its own way of offering the best of Nature.
Rising in the morning to the views of the Mighty Kanchenjunga to sleeping with a view of stars all around.

Overall the entire trip was something that happened very good to us and the memories will be cherished for a lifetime to come.

We are truly thankful to
Rajen Rai for helping us through the entire trip and always being just a phone call away.

Also thankful to all the caretakers of each and every homestay for ensuring we were never away from home.

The most difficult part was the return from such a paradise.

I booked a three day stay at remote Okhrey in West Sikkim at Royal Barsey Homestay for three of us including our dog, last week and I must say it exceeded my expectations. It was even more beautiful than the pictures. A serene, cozy, clean, cottage home, filled with lovely flowers, above the road in a tiny village, had all the comforts a traveller needs, 24 hour running hot water, comfortable beds, clean warm blankets, very good food and snacks cooked by Mr. Sherpa and his ever smiling wife. They were so polite and helpful and very loving to my dog. We relished tasting the local fruit wines available in the dining room. Perfect getaway for those who want to cut off from chaos of city life, and just laze in lap of nature, cherishing it's wonders and peace! Process of booking through Homestay OF Sikkim was so smooth, hastle free and we had all the help we could need over phone throughout our drive till arrived at Okhrey. I would highly recommend Homestays Of Sikkim. Thank you for making our short West Sikkim vacation a unforgettable experience.

The hospitality of the homestay was so nice that made me felt I was one of their own.
Food, cleanliness and definitely the behaviour of the host deserves ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
