An initiative from the Sikkimese Government to conserve the endangered bird species along with the promotion of tourism. The place has been renovated really well, while keeping in mind the lush greenery which is the real beauty of the place. Many innovative ideas brought to life in respect of interacting with the birds, while at the same time also teaching about them.

It is a great place to see different kinds of birds. The ruins adjacent to it were a small hike away. You walk through lush green tall trees to reach the top and it welcomes you with amazing views.

Well managed bird sanctuary. Ticket price 100 per person. One can sight the colourful macaws from very close. Washrooms available. A small cafeteria available.
