Mandakini waterfall is very close to Gangtok city about 4-5 Kilometres from the City centre. Waterfalls in sikkim are generally of very small height compared to waterfalls in other states. It is also a small waterfall.Single stream is falling from a height not more than 30-40 feet. It is one of the attractions en route to North Sikkim. Nearby by snacks shops are available where you can find tea, coffee, momos, maggi etc.
