Just finished a lovely 5 k run on MG road, and my brain was like all i want to eat right now is sourdough toast and butter. I checked on Google maps, and found that there are only two restaurants that have sourdough bread and one of them, Eastside Cafe, is 300 meters uphill. I trusted the universe that it will be open, hiked up and yayyy it is open and it has sourdough!!!! They sell the bread by loaves not slices though so you need to take the whole thing. The Barista, whose name is Kabita is wonderful - she sliced, toasted and buttered two slices which I had with some delicious coffee.

Good ambience with limited number of items. Cinnamon tea was balanced but bagel seemed staled and old. They have both indoor and outdoor seating option. Service was great and staff quite helpful. Overall a nice experience.
