One of the most beautiful spot, must visit if you are travelling to Gangtok. From Gangtok hardly half an hour you are in the falls area. Cool air, chill atmosphere, sound of falls welcomes you. Buying a ticket, parking the car you climb steps, walk through the forest region and view the falls.
As you walk towards the falls, some statues, round steps, beautiful small overhead buildings, seaters and view points give you surprises.
The sight of falls sends you goosebumps. Beautiful, milky white in color, as they flow so coolness surrounds you. There is a place where you could stand yards just away from the falls and click pics.
Zip lining is popular sport of this place. As you come out, you would find statues where if not slippery you could walk and click pics.
Coming back to the entrance there are lot of resto bars, cafés and eateries to taste best food.

The waterfall and surrounding place is prepared for a perfect picnic spot.
The entry fee is 70 per person and also some parking fees for vehicles.

The name seems to have come from the zakri villagers staying in forest (ban).

Various spots are developed for photoshoot, play area. At some sheds, you can even spend time peacefully just being yourself listening to the water, leaves and birds.
overall a very good place to spend 1-2 hours
