The old temple has a great story behind it which the neighbors could tell and recently the temple also had incarnation of Ram Lakshaman Statues and temple for Hanuman built in the courtyard. All festivals are celebrated with great enthusiasm. The temple got its current name due to it's location underneath a grand peepal tree.
