Ostel Udaipur - Budget Friendly Hotel Udaipur

The rooms were fine, spacious and relatively clean. However there is a few things why I would not stay in this hotel again:
1- We found cockroaches in the bathroom
2- Rooftop was never mentioned nor shown to us, therefore we were never able to enjoy it
3- Booking says they have food available. However, when we arrived they said there was no food available, not even for breakfast
4- Personal stuff was not very kind nor welcoming
5- Room had no natural light and smelled a lot like humidity
6- Location. The hotel is far from the old city and does not have any good restaurants around.

While booking online we thought it would be very good for a short weekend vacation but the time we entered it was 12 midnight, we booked the whole day just to make sure that we won't face any midnight check-in problem, but the time when we were about to leave it was heavy rainfall and we requested to stay for few hours in waiting area or room itself,

But they literally misbehaved and asked us to pay the whole day, we were with family and we didn't want to create any situation we paid them, in that too they asked 18% extra just because we asked them to give us the proper bill of the extra charges.

Following are a few more points where I feel Orion needs to improvise
1. Daily room cleaning as they won't clean the room if we don't ask them to do so

2. Food allowance at midnight as they don't have any in house canteen or cafeteria

3. There was no heat water facility in the bathroom we tried many times and asked them to turn on but they always gave us inappropriate answers like it's working it will come in some time etc etc....

The rooms are really good and I liked everything about it except there were no geysers. I had specifically asked about hot water availability and the manager had assured me that hot water will come in the morning.
In the morning, there was just lukewarm water and after complaining about it the staff just said that's how it is. When I raised a ruckus about it, the manager got me hot water heated on stove. But this all costed us 2 hours and we were late for our next place.

I would recommend this place as it's value for money, but just ensure that you get hot water.
