We had a fine stay at the Savoy. It was our fourth time in 22 years and the comfort, service and ambiance continue to be excellent. Our room and bath looked like they had recently been redecorated. It is a friendly hotel with a very good command of English. However, the hotel has a cigar bar next to the lobby and even though there is a closed door leading to it, the cigarette and cigar smell enters the lobby and moves to the upper floors when the bar is in business. It is a problem for those, like us, who do not smoke and who are bothered by the cigar smell. More could be done to reduce the problem.
